Written Descriptions

Please provide me with written description of how do you want your art to look like in details. What are characters doing? What is the set-up? What’s their relationship? What’s the mood in the situation?

If you’re writer with specific scene in mind you can provide a snippet of the scene to me as well.

Example:

The General swept the snow off the tombstone by bare hands. He then drew out the crimson rose, get on his knee and placed it on the grave of Ann. He stared at the tombstone mournfully as if he could see her face on the still surface. He didn’t say a word but his eyes said ‘I’m sorry.’ With only Elena beside him, he didn’t have to pretend that he was a good man, so this couldn’t be an act. He did care for Ann and he grieved over her death - his loss.

Character Profile

Providing me with information about the character such as what’s their personality like? how old are they? what are their interests? etc. will also help with how I visualize them and get them as close to the mood as much as possible.

Character Profile example:

The General is a man with relaxed demeanor but with something akin to menacing aura around him. He has easy smile and laid back personality, almost careless, but also carry something darker inside him. He has golden hair and green eyes, in his mid-thirties with lean but muscular frame. He’s not very tall.

Photo/Image References

Compile different images for the character such as face-claim, outfits, mood board, color palette and lighting will be very useful. If you have character reference sheet please include it as well.

If there’s background please provide me how the setup should look like. What’s the time of the day? Is it fantasy setup or modern day? etc.

Rough Sketch is very helpful for me to visualize the rough idea and composition, stick figure is ok - no need to be very detail here, I only need information of what your looking for.
